founded California Metal Distributors (CMD), Inc. on April 10, 1986. Today, CMD is
one of Southern California's leading steel distributors of all steel products including
Hot Rolled, Cold Rolled, Pickled and Oiled, and coated flat rolled products. CMD
handles prime and secondary steel, mill rejections and ocean /rail claims of metals,
surplus and excess inventories of steel, and is capable of reworking severely damaged
steel to a prime condition. We also have the capabilities for segregating and
sorting damaged goods. With a 100,000 square foot warehouse, we offer storage for
metal importers and exporters, loading containers for rail and ship transportation, and
loading and unloading railroad cars. As a leading metal processor, our slitting and
